Tallinn Stock Exchange Market Overview 26/02/07-02/03/07
 
Like all the other indexes in the world markets the value of the Tallinn Stock Exchange index decreased as well and this by 9.8%. The price of the stock went down for all 15 companies, the biggest decreases in the value were shown by Tallinna Kaubamaja (TKM1T) – 17,4% and Harju Elekter (HAE1T) – 13,3%. The smallest decliners were Starman (SMN1T) – 2,7% - and Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG1T) – 3,3%. The total turnover for the week was 36,285,917 €, which is 94% higher than last week.
 
The biggest decrease in the value of the stock was done by Tallinna Kaubamaja (TKM1T).With 1036 deals and turnover of 2,698,274 € the stock price managed to decrease from 8,73 € to 7,21 €. Despite good financial results two weeks ago, the company is still in trouble of finding loyal customers. To take into account the tendency of the whole world markets to go down, the value of the stock of Tallinna Kaubamaja is expected to decrease even more in short run.
 
Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG1T) had the largest turnover last week - 8,784,759. The price went down from 10,22 € to 9,90 €. The aquisition of AS Kristiine Kasiino and OÜ Casinova last week helped the stock price to remain still more or less constant despite the overall tendency for stock prices to decrease. As to the short run, the stock value is expected to decrease even more.
 
Tallink Group (TAL1T) had the biggest number of deals last week – 1476. With the second highest turnover - 8,189,360 € - the stock price still decreased from 1,44 € to 1,26 €. The selling of one ship – Tallink Autoexpress 3 – can have also some effect on the overall decrease of the stock value. The stock value of Tallink Group is also expected to decrease because of the whole market tendency.
