Helsinki Stock Market Overview (HEX) 12/03/2007 – 16/03/2007
This week did not see any major changes in stock indices. The OMX Helsinki 25 (OMXH25) increased by 0.43 % this week. The turnover reached 2 423 180 590 €. The two major winners of the week were Ixonos Plc. (XNS1V) and TienoEnator HEL (TIE1V). The number of stocks that gained in value is 40, the number of shares that decreased in value is 100. 12 stocks did not change in value at all.
Ixonos Plc. (XNS1V) is an information and communications technology service company producing flexible software development, maintenance and project management solutions. The stock value of the price is the highest in five years and increased by 20.08 % to 5.55 € this week. P/E ratio for the company is quite normal for the industry – 14.63 (that means profit for one stock). The reason of the increase is the announcement of the director of the company that company managed to gain bigger market share than expected and that it acts successfully.
TietoEnator HEL (TIE1V) is one of the largest IT services providers in Europe. The stock value of these shares increased by 0.93 % to 22.10 €. P/E ratio for the company is 6.62 and it’s quite low for the industry. These stocks are not enough evaluated. People buy these shares because they expect to obtain dividends of 0.85 € per share.
Tecnomen(TEM1V) develops and supplies messaging and charging solutions for telecoms operators and service providers worldwide. This week the company had a decrease in the stock prices. The value of one stock decreased by 4.32% and its current price is 1.31 € per share. The reason for the decrease is the annual report which was published during the week. It states that the earnings per share have decreased comparing with previous year.
Tekla(TLA1V) is an international software company. It develops and markets software products and services for customers’ core business processes in construction, energy distribution and in municipalities. Their shares have decreased in it value by 2.44% and reached 8.17 € per share. During the week they decided to pay dividens of 0.20 € per share plus an extra dividend of 0.20 € due to the anniversary of the company.
