HEX (Helsinki) Market OverviewsHelsinki Stock Market Overview (HEX) 19/03/2007 – 23/03/2007
This week did not see any major changes in stock indices. The OMX Helsinki 25 (OMXH25) increased by 1.76 % this week. The turnover reached 1 188 434 524 €. The two major winners of the week were Cramo (CRA1V) and Julius Tallberg Kiinteistot (JTK1V). The two major week losers are Aspocomp Group (ACG1V) and Incap (ICP1V). The number of stocks that gained in value is 108, the number of shares that decreased in value is 39. 7 stocks did not change in value at all.
Cramo (CRA1V) is a company which specializes in diversified commercial and professional services. It became a leader of the week, as its stock value increased by 12 % from 23.09 € to 25.94 € and has already been increasing for a period of a year. This company expects to book a gain of 4 million euros from selling its Dutch rental unit, it said in a statement to the Helsinki stock exchange. Thus, people expect high profits and therefore buy these shares. These shares have high potential for future, so are really recommended to buy.
Aspocomp Group (ACG1V) is a company offering and developing innovative interconnection solutions for the electronics industry in close cooperation with its customers. It supplies mobile data terminal equipment components. During a week it faced a sharp decline in its share value, so shares price fell by 36 % from 1.57 EUR to 1.00 EUR per share. This is because as profit forecast claims, the financial performance in 2007 is anticipated to be clearly unprofitable and liquidity to remain weak. Moreover; net sales and result for the first quarter of 2007 are expected to be lower than for the corresponding period in 2006. Due to these rather unhappy expectations the shares price fell. Let’s see, whether the expectations will become self-fulfilling.
Incap (ICP1V) is a fast-growing electronics contract manufacturer. During the previous week, the company’s share prices decreased by 18.15% and reached a value of 1.97 EUR per share. This can be explained by the informational release on March 20, 2007, which stated that the demand for Incap's deliveries to the telecommunications sector has been lower than projected during the first months of 2007. It is estimated that the revenue of the first-quarter will be about 20% lower than in the same period last year.
