During the week the OMX Helsinki 25 (OMXH25) index has increased by 0.38 % from 2947.01 to 2958.20. The number of stocks which have gained in value over the week is 81. The number of stocks which faced a decrease in value over the week is 61. The overall turnover throughout the week is 2 003 391 481 1 613 876 861. Comparing to the previous stock exchange week the overall turnover has increased by 24.1 %. Two major week winners are Aspocomp Group and Vaahto Group ser.K. Two week losers are Soprano and Evia.
Aspocomp Group (ACG1V) is a manufacturer of high-tech electronic components and related services. Its share prices increased by 13.48% this week and reached a value of 2.15 EUR per share. This can be explained by changing the number of Board members to seven, electing new members and deciding to issue 50 million new shares, which was announced in Extraordinary General Meeting of 19 January 2007.
Share prices of KCI Konecranes(KCI1V) have increased by 15,47% and the current value of the share is 25,09 EUR. KCI Konecranes is a world-leading provider of lifting solutions and maintenance services, with a track record in pioneering, leading, and shaping developments in the industry. The reason for an increase in the prices is company’s new product line - Straddle Carrier, which is used for container stacking, transport of containers from the Ship-to-Shore crane to the yard and for the loading and unloading trucks.
TeliaSonera AB (TLS1V) is a company that offers telecommunication services. Its share prices have decreased by -3.63% to during the week, and reached a price of 6.12 EUR per share. This can be explained by the fact that TeliaSonera AB closed the acquisition of 98.76% of the shares in Cygate AB, which is a leading supplier of secure and managed IP network solutions. Cygate will now operate as a separate business.
Scanfil Oyj (SCF1V) is a company that operates in the electronics manufacturing & equipment industry. Its share prices have decreased by -3.39% during this week, and reached a price of 2.25 EUR per share. This can be explained by the change in the management. Harri Takanen is the new President of Scanfil plc. Also, the board of directors has appointed two vice-presidents who will start working from 1 April, 2007.
