Russian Stock Market Overview 29.01-2.02 2007
During this week the stock exchange index RTS rose by 3.4% and now is 1896.62. Such rise is quite normal for the market, which means that comparing to previous weeks share prices stabilized. The overall turnover was 220 667 561 € with 1 228 deals.
Although this week ОАО РАО ЕЭС России, ао (EESR) didn’t take the first place in price increase its shares for the last month grew by more than 21%. Such dramatic increase could be explained by reorganization of РАО ЕЭС. This week it gained 6.46% and its price now is 0.91 € .
ОАО Сбербанк России, ао (SBER) have suffered a decrease in 1.43% this week with 15 548 shares sold at 103 deals. The website “quote.ru” gives the reason that this decrease happened because of emotions and nothing more. In general the banking sector looks great and stable.
Because of a very big increase in prices of nickel the company ОАО ГМК Норильский никель, ао (GMKN) became a leader of increase this week. Their shares went up by 10.2% and now their price is 136.89 € per share.
And finally, our predictions for the next week. We think that ОАО РАО ЕЭС России, ао (EESR) and ОАО ГМК Норильский никель, ао (GMKN) will continue to grow but Ростелеком RTKM shares will decrease in price.
