Helsinki Stock Market Overview28/11/2005-02/12/2005

Total market turnover was 5,866,616,150 (much bigger than previous week), 9 companies increased their value by more than 5%. OMX Helsinki index almost didn’t change (increase by 0.32%). Fortum Corporation (FUM1V)is a leading Nordic energy company. Its core business covers electricity and heat generation, sales and distribution, operation and maintenance services as well as other related services. During this week share prices went down by 4.6%. The main reason is company’s decision to acquire the shares in Russian Kolenergo from MMC Norilsk Nickel. Despite of the fact that by this decision Fortum will strengthen its position in Northwest Russian power generating industry, company will insert Norilsk Nickel representative for a member of board and become more dependent on Russian giant.
Tecnomen Corporation (TEM1V) – is a company that develops and supplies messaging and charging solutions for telecom operators and service providers worldwide. By the end of this week share price comparing to last Friday price was down by 3.81%. Tecnomen demonstrated new Messaging services on a TETRA network at TETRA World Congress 2005 in Frankfurt 28 November - 1 December 2005. This should have increased share prices, especially when there is growing demand for this kind of services, but hadn’t. Thus this could be explained by speculations in stock market that can be noticed looking on small turnover this week.

Embraers represent the newest aircraft technology, with lower emissions and fuel consumption. By autumn 2007, Finnair will have a total of 16 Embraer aircraft in its fleet.

Exclusivity in the negotiations has been extended until year-end and the parties look forward to a successful conclusion and signing of the definitive agreement in the forthcoming weeks.
