Lithuanian Stock Market Overview12/12/2005- 16/12/2005
This week brought a significant change to the total turnover of Lithuanian Stock Market. It dramatically increased to 30,276,565.16 EUR since the biggest part of it belonged to Snaigė (SNG1L) which appeared with a turnover of 25,788,716.78 EUR. The amount of deals made this week reached only 2,193. Mežeikių nafta (MNF1L) was a leader in this posture. In addition, 33 companies in Lithuanian Stock market had experienced a change in their stock value. 18 of them managed to increase a price of shares while others had to face with opposite result. The leading rise of 20% in shares value was visible in Promprojektas (PRM1L) stock.
Ūkio Bankas (UKB1L), the oldest private commercial bank providing universal banking services in Lithuania, experienced a decrease in stock value by 2.09%. The price of company’s shares fell down from 6.81 EUR to 6.52 EUR. Although, the amount of deals made (220 deals) was quite big comparing with other companies, Ūkio Bankas came up with a turnover of only 266,597.52 EUR. At the moment the firm is planning to distribute its shares at a price 30% smaller than it is in the Lithuanian Stock Market.
Pramprojektas (PRM1L) is one of major qualified engineering consulting companies in Lithuania. This week the share price has increased dramatically by 20% from 1.74 EUR to 2.09 EUR. However, the turnover of this week was only 1952.85 EUR. Moreover, the share prices are very fluctuating and it is very unstable.
Apranga (APG1L) is one of the merchantmen. The share price this week increased by 0.78% varying from 2.58 EUR to 2.65 EUR. After the dramatic fall during the previous weeks finally, the share price has increased. Perhaps it is due to the fact, that they are opening new shops in Vilnius. The turnover of the week was 87 120.05 EUR while the number of deals made reached 115.
