During the 48th week the index of RTSI was rising gradually. It increased from the value of 1029.5 to the figure of 1037.3. The total trading value was almost 470 billion EUR. The companies that influenced positive change of the index very much were Sberbank, Lukoil, and Surgutneftegas.
Mining and Metallurgical Company Norilsk Nickel (GMKN) faced 132 trades, and the total trading volume over the week was 35.5 million EUR. The price of shares were not stable, they both increased and decreased steadily. Thus, on 24th November the price was 71 EIR per share but by the end of the next day it had risen to 73 EUR per share. Then a sharp fall of 2.3% followed. Since the middle of the week the shares has been going up, and at the end of 2nd December they reached a peak of 73.5 EUR. These changes happened due to several facts. First of all, GMKN announced that it is going to re-organize its production technology. Moreover, Tob Morgan, a representative of the administration of the company, claimed that the production output will be higher than it was expected. In addition to this, representatives of Norilsk Nickel are visiting the USA in order to find possibilities to expand the market. The prices of shares are expected to go up.
Although Savings bank of the Russian Federation (SBER) faced only 9 trades, the price for shares has been rising gradually, and the shares increased by 4,6% to the figure of 967 EUR per share. During the week Sberbank signed a contract with the Japanese Bank. According to it, SBER will take part in financing a huge project in Japan, which costs a bit more than 76.5 million EUR. The administration is going to announce intermediate report the next week, and the price of shares probably will depend on this statement.
The shares of United Energy System of Russia (EESR) were rising in price during the whole week and the last trade was at 0.3639 per share. They are also expected to increase in price in future. The 5th annual conference was held by EESR. Its main goal was the presentation of the new energy politics. Moreover, the company’s mass media department has received a price as the most effective public relations’ service.
